Description of Positions
President-Elect:
Our President-Elect, in the absence of the President, presides at meetings of the Chapter, the Board of Directors, or the Executive Committee. When acting as President, the President-Elect shall have all powers of and be subject to all the restrictions upon the President. The President-Elect shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President or the Board of Directors. The President-Elect automatically assumes the office of President in the subsequent year. At the end of his/her term as President, the individual shall automatically remain on the Board of Directors for a one-year term as Immediate Past President. The President-Elect is a voting member of the Board of Directors.
Treasurer:

Our Treasurer/finance committee ensures our budget and spending. They are responsible for executing financial requirements to best support our membership. |
Secretary:

Our Secretary ensures that the minutes of meetings of the membership, the Board, and Executive Committee are recorded and maintained in permanent record of the Chapter, and in general perform all duties indicative to the office of Secretary and such other duties assigned from time to time by the President or Board of Directors. |
Programs:

|
Our Programs Directors/committee focuses on the developing chapter programs content, facilitating monthly meetings, updating the programs calendar, and reporting to the board on all program logistics. |
Communications:

Our Communications Directors/committee focuses on creating brand awareness for SMPS Palmetto through various communication efforts including the SMPS Palmetto website, blog, social media, eblasts, and meeting invitations/announcements. |
Membership:
|
|
Our Membership Directors/committee focuses on initiatives that drive, support, recruit and sustain chapter membership. The committee welcomes new members, provides member recognition opportunities, encourages enrollment through membership drives, tracks membership and conducts surveys to attract and retain members. |
Sponsorship:
|
|
Our Sponsorship Director/committee focuses on creating awareness, connections, and contributing to the financial stability for the chapter and its members. They are responsible for securing sponsorships for SMPS Palmetto programs, the chapter, and specialty events. |
Education Director:
|
|
Our Education Directors/committee promotes professional development for chapter members and non-members, marketers and technical staff alike, through marketing-focused, industry-specific educational programs. The Education Director(s) collaborates with the Program Director(s) to ensure chapter events focus on the Six Domains of Practice. |
